SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ- Saturday July 27, 2013 the South Plainfield Downtown will celebrate its first ever Christmas in July.  The event will include crafts, vendors, music, a bounce house and a dunk tank.  There is a window decorating contest at many of the Downtown locations. Prizes have been donated by Investors Bank and Fulton Bank of New Jersey.  The goal of the day’s events is to spotlight South Plainfield businesses as well as to have fun.

 Christmas in July festivities are scheduled to begin at 10:00am and end at 5:00pm.  South Plainfield Avenue starting at Front Street will be closed and the closure will continue up to Church Street.  The DJ and dunk tank will be setup near the OEM Building on Old Hamilton Boulevard.  Mayor Anesh is scheduled to fill the dunk tank as well as other Borough Officials.  Christmas in July is being cosponsored by the South Plainfield Business Association and the South Plainfield Cultural Arts Committee.
