SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ --- With the unanimous support of the South Plainfield Republican Committee, Councilwoman Christine Noonan-Faustini and Council President Derryck White announce their candidacy for South Plainfield Borough Council. "These are two top-notch candidates," said Anesh. "They bring a wealth of talent and experience with them, and they know how to get results.  They are a great choice for South Plainfield."

Council President Derryck White is seeking his third term on Council, outlining the progress made to make South Plainfield more affordable while improving roads, parks, and public safety and attracting new businesses to South Plainfield every year he has served in office.

“Our team in local government has become active participants in the transition process with entrepreneurs and employers to call South Plainfield home,” said Derryck White, a former soccer, baseball and basketball coach, who chairs the Economic Development Committee and serves on the Administration and Finance Committee and Planning Board. “We have seen yearly economic growth due to our strong fiscal record of holding down taxes and cutting red tape to help businesses thrive and grow.”

Derryck is a proud father of three children, Jessica, Alexx and Noah. He has dedicated years to giving back as a coach, is a member of the South Plainfield’s Elk Lodge #2298 and an active member of South Plainfield’s Community Emergency Response Team.

A lifelong resident of South Plainfield, Councilwoman Christine Noonan-Faustini was recently appointed to the South Plainfield Council and is currently chair of recreation. She is seeking her first full-term in November. A mother of four children, Kaitlyn, Madison, Dominic and Ava Rose, she’s dedicated to ensuring that South Plainfield’s brightest days are ahead.

“As the mother of four children, with two attending college, I understand how families need to make tough financial decisions every day to get by and plan for the future,” added Faustini, who has actively served as a member of the Riley School PTSO board and Grant PTO board. “I am proud to be part of a team in local government that lives by the same fundamental financial practices that our residents do and endeavors to make the most of every dollar taxpayers invest in our borough.”

In addition to her dedicated service as a school volunteer, Faustini served as the Vice President of the South Plainfield Library Board, an Officer of the Friends of the Library, a member of the Cultural Arts Committee and is a communicant of Sacred Heart Church. She is a long-time educator who currently provides mathematics home instruction to local students right here in South Plainfield.

Pointing to this years flat tax and the fact that the municipal portion of tax bills being lower than 2009 with a lot of progress to show for it, Faustini & White continue to get it done for South Plainfield.
