SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - Ifayola Adewole is a first grader at Trivium Academy located in South Plainfield. Back in April, she wrote to Mayor Anesh to tell him about an idea she had to help residents of the community. She wanted to initiate a food drive to help the elderly, families that are struggling or anyone who needed help to prevent them from perishing.  Ifayola first presented the idea to her family because she wanted to earn a dress down day for the school.  Her family thought it was a wonderful idea, and supported her decision to organize the food drive at the school in order to give back to the community and earn the school a dress down day.

Joanne Pacotti, President of the Board and Founder of the Trivium Academy stated, “Ifayola is an outstanding student. She wanted to do something for the town, and help those who are less fortunate, to ensure they do not perish due to lack of food.”  Council President White presented Ifayola with a Borough pin to thank her for helping others in the community. “Ifayola is a compassionate young lady,” said White. “It was truly an honor to see first hand how Ifayola's compassion shined through in a tangible way. Not only will it impact the families who are being helped but far beyond that she inspired her peers to give as well.  I am very proud of what her and her fellow students were able to accomplish on behalf of those in need."

Also on hand for the presentation of food was Marge Ackerman, Social Services Director and Anne Daley, Mayor Anesh’s Confidential Assistant.  All of the students gathered around the food, while Ifayola said the following, “Thank you to all my Trivium classmates for donating all the different items. I think we all did a great job by supporting our community. Thank you also to my teacher and to Magistra for supporting me. I also thank Mayor Anesh and his helpers.”
