SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ -Members of Franklin Elementary School’s third and fourth grade chorus performed a song from their upcoming spring concert at the start of the March 18 Board of Education meeting.

Tonight, our third and fourth grade chorus will present a special song and special performance from their upcoming show,” Franklin Principal Ralph Errico told the board. “We proud to do all we can to promote the fine arts.”

For the meeting, the students, under the direction of vocal and music teacher Glen Parisi, performed It’s Time to Start the Show, which will be the opening number of the school’s May 18 concert.

“We appreciate the opportunity to be here tonight and perform a song from our upcoming show,” Parisi said. “Thank you having us and supporting our programs.”

Franklin’s chorus meets weekly after school – fourth grades meet on Mondays and third grades meet on Tuesdays. The spring concert, which includes choreography and will be performed on risers in the school’s auditorium, will take place on Monday, May 18 at 6:30 p.m. For more information, visit www.spboe.org.
