Get Ready for the Taste of South Plainfield


SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – The South Plainfield Business Association will be hosting its 3rd annual Taste of South Plainfield this Monday, October 7, 2013 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at the South Plainfield Senior Center.

The Taste of South Plainfield gives residents the opportunity to sample foods from various restaurant establishments throughout South Plainfield and it gives these businesses the forum to showcase their foods.  In addition to foods, Dan Ratti owner of Oak Tree Discount Wines and Spirits will be providing various wines, beers and spirits for the event.  The cost is $20.00 per person for tickets purchased in advance and $25.oo for tickets purchased at the door.  Proceeds from the event go to the South Plainfield Business Association to be used for education scholarships.

South Plainfield’s Matt Victoria and Randy Jenkins of JVE entertainment will provide music for the event.  Chef Rodney Jackson will prepare a live gourmet dinner at the event.

Last year, the Taste of South Plainfield attracted over 200 people.  This year’s event food vendors are Nicky B’s Café, Ciccio’s Pizza, KC’s Korner, Flanagan’s Restaurant & Pub, Muscle Maker Grill, Hometown Heros, Mr. Subs, Sherban’s Diner, La Bonbonniere Bake Shoppe, Yo Fresh, Diosdado Asian BBQ, Nan King, Mei Haus Chinese Restaurant.

There will also be a number of non-food vendors offering their merchandise or services.  They are: Scentsy by Independent Consultant Linda Dashuta, Michelle Brito with knitted gifts, Grace Adele Purses by Independent Consultant Heidi Leigh, Custom Stationery by Laura Conrad, Lia Sophia Jewelry by Independent Consultant Stacey Diana, Ginny O’Brien will be selling candles for the Woodlands resident home for disabled clients, Education Foundation, Touchstone Crystal by Swarowski by Consultant Kelly Dunn, SEPAC Parent Organization, Amough Insurance, Unico will be selling life bracelets and Arista Care at Cedar Oaks.
