SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - On Feb. 18th, members of the rookie SPHS TIGER TECH F.I.R.S.T. Robotics Team were excited to “Bag-n-Tag” their robot, in anticipation of the 2015 F.I.R.S.T. ROBOTICS COMPETITION (FRC) season to begin.  The annual international FRC game challenge this year is “Recycling Rush”, “a recycling-themed game played by two Alliances of three robots each. Robots score points by stacking totes on scoring platforms, capping those stacks with recycling containers, and properly disposing of pool noodles, representing litter. In keeping with the recycling theme of the game, all game pieces used are reusable or recyclable.” After six-weeks of long hours to plan, design, build, test, and prepare, the Robotics Team will participate in the regional competitions at Bridgewater-Raritan High School on Mar. 28th and 29th, then again at North Brunswick Twp. High School on April 3rd and 4th. Spectators are always welcome to competition events to support the Robotics Team.
