SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – Oktoberfest is in full swing at KC’s Korner Restaurant and Tavern of South Plainfield.

Running through the end of the month, Oktoberfest features traditional German beers and homemade food items. Among the food items being served up at the Oak Tree Road establishment this Oktoberfest include Bavarian pretzel appetizers, brat and kraut sandwiches, and, for the main course, wiener schnitzel, sauerbraten, and pork shank osso bucco.

“Nobody in town does Oktoberfest like we do. We offer traditional German beers and traditional and authentic German foods,” said KC’s Korner owner Walter Kurilew, noting that his parents, prior to immigrating to the United States, owned and run a pub in Germany. “They used to hold Oktoberfest in their house and I have remained committed to carry on that tradition.”
