SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – KC’s Korner located at 100 Oak Tree Avenue in South Plainfield has opened their outdoor patio for the summer. Much like the swallows that return each year to Capistrano, South Plainfield patrons each year fly into KC’s Korners’ outdoor patio. “KC’s Korners’ patio opening is the start of summer,” said Robert Moore. “I do not know about Capistrano, but I can say everyone loves swallowing Jerry and Charlie’s shrimp habanero and ribs.”

“We spend all winter gearing up for the summer patio bash, said Charlie Hoppe. “The grilled habanero and buffalo shrimp have become local favorites.”

“My family just loves the outdoor patio,” said South Plainfield resident Susan DiFrancesco. “It’s a real nice atmosphere and the seafood is just awesome.”

Owned by Walter Kurilew for the past 32 years, KC’s Korner Restaurant and Tavern features a private dining room, outside seating, and daily lunch and dinner specials. KC’s offers a diverse selection of hard cider and bottle beers. There is an array of IPA beers as well as select Heineken and NewCastle drafts.

“KC’s prides itself in quality food and service at a reasonable price,” said owner Walter Kurilew. “Our customers are treated like family, and this is why we have such loyal patrons.”

KC’s was packed this past weekend. TAPinto staff strolled in and ordered the shrimp habanero, buffalo shrimp, bangin' shrimp, ribs and steamed clams in jalapeno broth. The TAP staff took no prisoners. The portions were both tasty and plentiful.

“I’m glad TAP was satisfied with today’s selection,” said Jerry Tanzola. “Next time try the lobster bisque, it’s a Hoppe favorite.”

“The seafood bar will certainly be hopping, all summer no pun intended,” said Kurilew. “Hoppe and Tanzola are better than fluke. Their season goes from June into the fall.”

KC’s is located at 100 Oak Tree Avenue at the corner of Front Street and is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner and available for private parties. For more information, call (908) 757-5306 or “like” them on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/kcs.korner1?fref=ts.
