SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - The students of South Plainfield’s John F. Kennedy Elementary School celebrated the upcoming 100th day of school with a fun-filled movie night.
Over 60 Kennedy students got cozy in their PJs and enjoyed snacks while watching the movie Home at the school the evening of Feb. 3. Sponsored by the Kennedy PTSO, the supervised drop-off event gave parents a few child-free hours and kids the chance to spend the evening with friends.
The event raised over $1,000, which will goes towards assemblies, fields trips and other fun and educational events for Kennedy students. Additionally, snack bags were put together thanks to donations from Shop Rite, WalMart, and Creative Kids Academy.
The Kennedy PTSO wishes to thank all the parents who volunteered their time and donated goodies. Special thanks also go out to the volunteers from the National Honor Society and Juniorettes who helped make the event a success.
