SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - All young people ages 8 through 14 are invited to participate in the 2017 Knights of Columbus Substance Abuse Awareness Poster Contest sponsored by the South Plainfield Knights of Columbus Council #6203. Students that attend any schools in South Plainfield are welcomed to participate. Students are encouraged to develop an original poster and slogan idea designed to discourage their peers from experimenting with drugs and/or alcohol.
There will be a division for youngsters ages 8 to 11 and a division for youngsters ages 12 to 14. Contestants are to choose only one category, either Alcohol Awareness and Abuse or Drug Awareness and Abuse. All contestants will be recognized for their participation. All entries will require the entry form to accompany the poster and must be returned to your school’s office no later than Wednesday, February 23, 2017.
The posters can also be dropped off between 7:00-8:00PM on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at the Knights of Columbus, 334 Hamilton Blvd, South Plainfield, NJ.
First place prizes of $50.00 will be given out for each category and each age division.
