Kreation Specialties™ - Personalized Chocolate Candy Gifts for All Occasions

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – Kreation Specialties™, the South Plainfield-based company featured on Food Network’s Roker on the Road show, has been providing Candy Wreaths and Candy Centerpiece Trees and Chocolate Bar Wrappers since 1994.

Owned and operated by borough residents Ray and Nancylee Komoski, their online company Kreation Specialties™ creates personalized candy bar wrappers for birthdays and anniversaries, bar/bat mitzvahs and sweet 16’s, first communion, confirmation, and baptisms, birth announcements and graduations, weddings and bridal showers, and more, including hotel, business, and corporate events. Customers can chose from Hershey®, Oreo® and Kit-Kat® bars and a variety of in stock color foil wrap, as well as select the font color, wording and design. There is also the option to add photos.

The Komoskis work one-on-one with all customers to ensure that the final product meets approval. Proofs are emailed to customers in .jpg format and there is no additional charge for edits and changes prior to printing. To ensure accuracy, an email confirmation is required from all customers before Kreation Specialties™ will begin to process the order. Additionally, Kreation Specialties™ also wraps each candy bar by hand, adding first the colored foil of choice and then the personalized wrapper.

“We are different than some other candy wrapper companies that only sell the wrapper and the customer must buy their own candy and wrap each one themselves,” said Nancylee. “With Kreation Specialties™ you get the complete, finished product. There is nothing for you to do.”

Additionally, Kreation Specialties™ creates handmade candy centerpiece trees made with mixed hard candies, along with their popular mini-chocolate bar tree and Hershey® Kisses® candy tree for birthdays, holidays and other special occasions.

In 2003, television personality Al Roker spent the day at the Komoskis Pitt Street home and their talents were showcased on a special Christmas episode of his Food Network series Roker on the Road. “It was such a such a wonderful experience with the production crew filming us for two days,” said Nancylee. “Food Network aired the Christmas special three years in a row, which was amazing.

According to Nancylee and Ray, one of the many things that sets Kreation Specialties™ apart is that the personalized customer service they provide doesn't end after an order is placed, wrapped and shipped. Once in route, the Komoskis closely monitor all orders to ensure proper delivery.

“We are constantly checking the tracking and email or call our customers to let them know it has been delivered and where it was left,” Nancylee said.

“We do this because we believe in providing our customers with the best service and believe that is the way we would want to be treated as well,” she added. “The biggest thing in our book will always be customer services and we follow through to the end.”

Kreation Specialties™ ships all over the country and accepts orders big and small. Candy gift sets are available in 8, 12 or 24 and the minimum wrapper order starts at only 24 with orders over 100 receiving free standard ground shipping (packaging and handling charges still apply). Orders are sent via UPS or USPS and, for warm-weather shipping, optional packaging complete with Styrofoam carton and ice gel packs is available. Samples and pricing are available online at For additional information, email or call (908) 769-6825.

In Cold Blood by Truman Capote

In Cold Blood by Truman Capote (Random House, 1965)

In Cold Blood is, quite simply, the grand-daddy of true crime writing, dubbed by Capote, himself, as the first non-fiction novel (although Norman Mailer argued the point when he published The Executioner's Song in 1979.) The conditions under which I read In Cold Blood for the first time were pretty weird, which was another ...
