Letter from Coaches Care Thanking Sponsors and Donors

With a backdrop of perfect weather, on Saturday June 11, we held our 13th annual sold out COACHES Care golf classic, at Heron Glen Golf Course.  It is truly rewarding to have an event that sells out almost two months in advance, and has the majority of the participants there two hours ahead of the shotgun tee.  There are many people that make this event something that people look forward to every year.  Our volunteers who arrive at 7:30 and are out on the course until the last shot is hit, deserve more than just a thank you. Colleen Hubner, Alyssa McCreesh, Laura McCreesh, Ali Gabinelli, Marie Benak, Maryanne Decker, and Toni Moretti, are our true assistant coaches.  Marie and Ali were the witnesses to a hole in one where Tom O’Connor won a lease on a car donated by Flemington Car and Truck Country.  The driving force of the event are our sponsors and this year we would like to thank the Gold Sponsors Gray Metal Products, Southwark Metal Mfg. and Dunphey-Smith Co., and our Silver Sponsors, Newmark School, L and F Martin Landscape Co., EWC Controls, and our Bronze sponsors, National Parts Supply Co., The Memory of Bob Harrington, Samuels Inc, Maureen Washington in memory of Rich Washington, Lombardi and Lombardi, M and R’s Miller Auto Gear and Jeff McCreeesh.  Special thanks to our breakfast sponsors, Thermal Service and Glenn Gerber along with Haisch’s Bakery for all the donuts and The Bagel Pantry for donating the bagels. We have a sponsorship availability for both our putting and chipping sponsorship and the response was so over whelming that we had to add long drive and closest the pin sponsors and they were, Tele Cable, Holly Park Interiors, Santoro and Santoro, Frank P. Licato Agency, Darlene and Glenn Cullen Tap Into South Plainfield, Meyer and Depew, Gray Flex, State Car and Truck Parts Warehouse Inc., Harris Realty, and McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals.   A special thank you to JFK Medial Center for donating all of the men’s and women’s Under Armour shirts that were diagrammed as always by Sportworld.  Thanks to all of our tee sponsors, Warren Tamaroff and Halls Trucking, Harbour Sales, R.T Tech Electric, Andy and Eva Singer, Heilmann’s Gulf, Carparts Inc., Quality Auto Glass, South Plainfield Golf Association, HBC Electric, Goodwin-Archer Associates, Thomas Ernst Associates, Arties Auto Parts Inc., NJL Holdings, Haisch’s Bakery, Corcia Contracting, Lynn Reed Associates,  Sales Team Solutions, Witty’s Liquors, Edison-Metuchen Orthopaedic Group, Joan McCreesh, Dr. Frank Licato, Patrick McCreesh, John Thatcher, Sands Ocean Club, The Furniture Medic, Kraus and Naimer, East Coast Title Agency, Duro Dyne Corp., A & J Auto Parts and Accessories Corp, Scott Elliott, Robert Anthony and Dennis Fackelman.  Special thanks to Steve Senz who provides all of our accounting services.  Also a big thanks to those who donated to our auction, The Decker Family, James Fiorentino, Paul Shane, Mohn’s Flowers, Nancy O’Shea-Kobo Products, Conair, Bill Carroll, Greg Cohen, Warren Tamaroff, CDW, and Dunphey Smith.  Thanks to those who donated door prizes that allowed most of our participants to leave with a gift,  Fedway, Ski Setting, Mei House, Sherban’s Diner, Carmen’s Trattoria, Park Ave. Diner, Hometown Hero’s, Mr.Subs, Pizza Stop, Bagel Pantry, Ciccio’s Restaurant, Armand Pizza, Giakas Cleaners, New York Jets, New York Rangers, Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza, KC’s Korner, Dunphey Smith, The Girls in the Piscataway Court House, Vincenzo’s, Mama Rosina’s, Girasole, Cahoots, Capelli’s Hair Salon, Ellery’s, Spain Inn, Ferraro’s, One of the Family, Carpaccio’s, Pizza and Pasta, New York Giants, Rutgers Golf Course, Armand Pizza, Toni Moretti, Charlie Decker, Thom Lanza and Paulo’s Barbeque.  None of this would be possible without the great efforts of Bill Denitzio, Ted Tucker, Guy Moretti, Rich Little, Kurt Ullom, Keith Heckel, Tony Cassano, Charlie Decker, and Chris Hubner who each year go above and beyond, allowing us to give our guests a better event than the previous year.  To Thom Lanza, who pushes us each year to be better than the next, I thank you for your friendship and helping keep me focused on why we do this.  Finally, to Investors Bank and their Care-To-Share program, a special thanks for allowing us into your family.  If you have a personal account at Investors, you can be a part of our charity just by talking to someone there about Care-To-Share.  Our event this year will raise almost $60,000 and we will be donating a VEEG Long Term Monitoring System to the JFK Medical Center, which has video capabilities.  This allows the doctors to be better able to monitor those children with brain tumors, quicker and more effectively, allowing for shorter hospital stays.  I think that it speaks volumes of all of the supporters of our charity to raise that kind of money on one day and from the bottom of my heart I cannot thank each of you enough.  As always I look high to the Big Guy and know he is smiling on us and see that with the RH factor each day is a gift and should be treated as such.  We look forward to seeing everyone at our 14th event on June 10, 2017.

Tom McCreesh
