Dear Editor,

It is with great pride I am about to complete my first term as Councilman this December. I am proud of the fact the Mayor and Council with the cooperation, organization and hard work provided by various committees, volunteers, the business association, DPW, Emergency Services, and so many more, that over the course of the year our town offers numerous free events, from National Night Out, Mayor’s Health Fair, Christmas in July, Trunk or Treat Family Night, just to name a few, that are free to residents. That is not to mention all that goes on at the library, senior center, recreation, rescue squad, fire house, and so on. Not every town can brag about such things. Nor can towns brag about being rated “AA” - South Plainfield’s credit rating is ‘very strong’ and its outlook ‘stable’, according to a recent report from Standard & Poor’s Rating Services LLC (S&P), the world’s global leader in municipal bond credit ratings. I am even more proud of our police department and our community working as neighbors keeping each other safe because our crime rate is lower than many neighboring communities such as Dunellen, Edison, North Plainfield, Plainfield, and even Watchung, just to name a few. Please help me to continue to make South Plainfield a place to raise a family and vote all of Line A on Nov 4: Anesh, Barletta, White and Bartfavli.
