Letter to the Editor:

The South Plainfield Business Association hosted their 6th annual "Taste of South Plainfield", on Monday, March 13, 2017.  One year ago the Business Association decided that the South Plainfield businesses,  that have served the residents of South Plainfield for 30 years and more, should be honored at the "Taste", to continue the 90th Birthday Celebration for the Borough of South Plainfield.  The "Taste Committee" asked Mayor Anesh, as an honor to him, to present the Proclamations to these businesses.  The committee began to compile businesses that they researched that have served this community for 30 years or more.

The Business Association honored the following businesses:  Cindy Michaels Jewelers - over 30 years; Paul's Stationery - 32 years;  HK Trucking - 35 years;  Salerno's Ristorante - 35 years;  Pinto Bros. - 40 years;  Presto Printing - 37 years;  Mohn's Flowers and Fancy Foods - 40 years;  Twin City Pharmacy & Surgical - over 40 years; Liftec Inc. - 40 years;  Sportsworld - 40 years;  McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals - 41 years; Carousel Hair Salon - 43 years;  Giakas Dry Cleaners - over 50 years;   Halls Warehouse Corp. - over 50 years;  JT Penyak Roofing Company - over 50 years;  Peter Pan Pharmacy - over 50 years;  R & C Auto Body - over 50 years; Tony's Pizza and Restaurant - over 50 years;  Frank P.
