Dear Editor:

It is an honor to represent the residents 18th District in the New Jersey Senate.    In that role I have the opportunity to interact with elected officials throughout New Jersey.    The residents of Middlesex county and the 18th Legislative District are fortunate to have the best public servants in our state working on their behalf.   Sheriff Millie Scott is admired for her inclusive, respectful and effective leadership.    Freeholders Ken Armwood and Charlie Kenny are advocates for the priorities that make our county a model for others to follow…reduced debt, lower tax rates, the best county college and vocational schools,  support for our veterans and those in need,  open space preservation and terrific county parks.     Clary Azcona-Barber will be an outstanding addition to the freeholder board.   She is recognized throughout the county for her effective leadership in her hometown of New Brunswick.

In the legislature, I am blessed to have two great running mates….Nancy Pinkin and Rob Karabinchak.  Nancy has become a leader in sponsoring legislation to protect our environment.     She is a tireless advocate for those who would otherwise be without a voice.    Her background in health care is an invaluable asset to the other members of the Assembly.

Rob Karabinchak knows the issues facing our towns as well as anyone in the state.    He previously served on the Edison council and deals the challenges facing small business owners.  Rob has already distinguished himself as the leading voice in the State Assembly to reduce red tape and get property taxes under control.

There has never been a clearer choice on election day for our state and county offices.   I ask that you join me in casting your vote for the entire Democratic team.    Pinkin and Karabinchak for State Assembly,  Scott for Sheriff,   Armwood, Azcona-Barber and Kenny for Freeholder.
