When I look at Washington and Trenton, all I see is gridlock and an inability get things done. It seems like all you read about are deficits, tax hikes, bickering, unemployment, and the list goes on.
By contrast, it’s refreshing to see what’s going on in South Plainfield. The council is doing a good job holding down its part of the tax bill, and I’m pleased to see that the financial community has affirmed the town’s “AA” rating. Unlike the state and federal governments, South Plainfield is doing a good job with its finances.
I’m also happy to see a surge in economic growth here. New businesses are the key to holding down taxes and bringing jobs to town. That’s why I’m pleased to see businesses like Progressive Insurance come to town. And it’s also why I’m happy to see businesses like biotech leader Genewiz expanding here.
To keep us heading in the right direction, I’m voting for Republicans Rob Bengivenga and Joe Wolak.
