SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - At the September 13th meeting of the South Plainfield Public Library Board of Trustees Mr. Kenneth Morgan was presented with an award plaque to express the Trustees’ deep appreciation for the outstanding photo commemoration and documentation of the South Plainfield Library building and construction. Mr. Morgan, a senior library assistant, who has been employed by the South Plainfield Public Library for twenty-eight years, has photographed the construction of the new library from the groundbreaking through to the dedication of the two rooms in honor of Frances Greaney and Natalie Bergen this past June. Mr. Morgan was so honored by saying, "I really appreciate the Board's recognition.  I believed that the renovation and reconstruction should be documented, and I'm thankful that I was given the opportunity and support to do so.  I'm glad that the new Library, and the visual record of it, turned out so well."

Hundreds of his photographs were organized and made into a slide show with the assistance of Anne Marie Stoeckel, the Superintendent of South Plainfield Public Schools’ representative to the Board.

Library Director, Linda Hansen congratulated Mr. Morgan with the following statement. “I'm so glad that the board recognized the hard work and dedication that Ken put into documenting the building project. His efforts resulted in a wonderful slide show of the project's progress that will be a treasured part of our library's history.” The slide show can be seen through a link on the library website

All the Trustees congratulated and offered words of recognition to Mr. Morgan for his dedication and long service to the library and community.
