SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has declared a State of Emergency. South Plainfield and municipalities throughout the area have sent Nixle Alerts, Tweets, Reverse 911 Messages and Facebook posts about tomorrow's impending blizzard. The one clear message from all the announcements is get your car off the road and stay home.

Mayor Anesh, looking to add some fun to those cooped up at home watching the snow has announced a snow contest. The contest is to guess the correct snow total in tomorrow’s blizzard. The Mayor has posted on his Facebook Page that he will donate 10 times the amount of official snow recorded in South Plainfield to the winners’ charity of choice in the Borough. Guesses must be made on the Mayor’s Facebook Page by 11:00am on March 14th. The rules are spelled out on the Mayor’s page. Here is a link to his page  https://www.facebook.com/MayorMatthewAnesh/?hc_ref=SEARCH&fref=nf

Good luck to all contestants and stay warm tomorrow and be safe.
