SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - Congratulations to the Middle School Wrestlers for a full week of competing. The team wrestled seven matches in seven days winning five of the matches.

The Middle School team defeated a very tough Jackson Team 45-37 with the help from 8th graders, Anthony White, Nick Loniewski, Kenny Clevenger, Xavier Santos, and Julian Medina. Seventh graders Julian Irizarry and Bryce Hollis were also big contributors in that win.

On January 7th, the team took on State powerhouses Phillipsburg and Kingsway. The team lost the two matches, but not without a fight.

On January 8th, the team defeated Ridge and Middle School and cross town rival Watchung Hills. The Watchung Hills match came down to the last match – Julian Medina stepped up and pinned his opponent and sealed the victory for the team.

On January 10th, the Middle School Team had the opportunity to wrestle, in our High School gym, before the High School Team took to the mat. The Middle School Team defeated the Falcons, of Collingswood, while our enthusiastic High School spectators cheered them to their victory. Great wrestling was on display!
