PHILADELPHIA, PA – The National Weather Service in Philadelphia has issued a Flood Watch for Middlesex County beginning Wednesday afternoon through Thursday. Heavy rain and rapidly melting snow is expected to cause localized flooding. Minor to moderate stream flooding is also expected to occur Wednesday night into Thursday.
Temperatures on Wednesday are expected to be in the low 60’s further enhancing the snow melt. According to the Weather Service the current snow cover may be melted by Thursday due to the heavy rains and warm temperatures.
A flood watch means there is a potential for flooding based on current forecasts.
