TRENTON, NJ – The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission in South Plainfield along with MVCs across New Jersey will thank military veterans who served honorably to have a special designation for display on their driver’s license or non-driver ID card.

“This law allows our most honorable public servants to show proof of their veteran status on a daily basis,” Senator Kevin O’Toole said. “It’s a simple offering that our heroes and heroines have requested to make their lives a little easier.”

Governor Chris Christie first signed the bill into law in September of 2013 which became effective March 1, 2015.
