Sibin is a 23 year old pharmacy student at Rutgers Pharmacy School. He is in his fourth and final year of schooling and has many exciting plans ahead of him. When we sat down with his to chat he was really excited to talk about the future, but was not a huge fan of his picture being taken.
Q: Why did you want to become a pharmacist?
A: I wanted to become a pharmacist so I would be closer to the chemistry and pharmacology medication that are given to patients.
Q: What have you learned from being at Twin City?
A: I have learned how much of an impact our pharmacy has on all the different Hospice facilities around the area. We have a direct impact on the quality of life for some patients and that’s a big deal.
Q: What are your future plans with your degree?
A: I hope to pursue a fellowship within the pharmaceutical industry, but maintain my practice in the community setting by working weekends.
Q: What is your favorite part of pharmacy life?
A: I enjoy the ability to have quality patient interaction and answer the questions they may have about their medication. As pharmacists, we are the front line in healthcare due to our ease of access.
Q: What is a fun fact about you?
A: My family owned an elephant.
Don’t tell owner Tommy’s son Danny you had an elephant, those are his favorite! But we wish Sibin the best of luck on his journey to becoming a multi-functional member of the pharmaceutical world. Who knows, maybe we will see him in Twin City on the weekends!
