SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - Snow is in the forecast for Monday, and this is no April Fool's Day joke.

A winter weather advisory has been issued from the National Weather Service (NWS) from 2 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 2, with total snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches expected.

The snow will be heavy at times with snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour between about 4 AM and 9 AM. The snow is expected to taper off from west to east between 9 AM and 11 AM Monday morning.

"Plan on slippery road conditions, including during the morning commute on Monday," stated the NWS.
