SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – South Plainfield Police are investigating an accident involving two vehicles which left one person dead and two others injured earlier today. The accident occurred a little after 11:00am this morning in the area of West End Avenue. One of the individuals was pronounced dead at the scene while another person in the same vehicle was reported to be in very serious condition.
A person in the other vehicle was taken to JFK Hospital in Edison with what was believed to be non-life threatening injuries. None of the victims involved in the accident have been identified by police.
Hamilton Boulevard is closed in both directions. South Plainfield Police issued a Nixle alert at 11:25am announcing the road closure.
