SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - On Thursday June 7 at 7pm the South Plainfield Public Library welcomes artist and teacher Shelley Phillips who will demonstrate how to create origami works of art for adults. The kids are doing it and having fun, now it's time for you to have your turn! All materials will be provided for this program.  This program is presented free, but space is limited to 15 people, so registration is required.

Shelley went to Tyler School of Fine Arts, part of Temple University. In addition to her love of oil painting, Shelley has always enjoyed solving puzzles of any kind. The challenge of folding origami fit right in, becoming another form of art for her.  She has belonged to local origami groups here in NJ and in Boston, Ma., as well as ORIGAMI USA, the national group.  She has displayed her origami on several occasions at the Highland Park Public Library and has taught numerous classes there as well.
