EDISON, NJ – United States military veterans attending the JFK Adult Medical Day program in Edison, New Jersey hosted a party in honor of Private 2nd Class Kyle Fredericks earlier this month.

A resident of Edison, Fredericks recently returned home on leave after completely basic training and was invited to visit with military veterans who attend the Edison-based facility. Fredericks, whose mother is a nurse at the program, will soon be deployed to South Korea for his first official military assignment.

During the party, JFK veterans showed their support to Private Fredericks, shared their experiences, and offered many words of encouragement. “The atmosphere at the program was really upbeat and extremely emotional that day,” said JFK Recreation Coordinator Gloria Lopez. “A sense of patriotic pride took over the crowd at the JFK Program as patriotic music filled the air and all participants and staff cheered for both Private Fredericks and those military veterans who previously served this country, were in attendance.
