SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey and South Plainfield Chief James Parker are investigating a deadly motorcycle accident. According to police, the motorcycle accident in which the passenger was killed occurred in the early morning hours of July 4, 2018.
The 28-year old victim was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and pronounced dead from her injuries.
Ruddy Custidio, 30, of Piscataway, the operator of the motorcycle, was taken to JFK Medical Center and treated for minor injuries.
Custidio has been issued motor vehicle summonses including driving while intoxicated pending further investigation.
The crash is being investigation by Lieutenant David DeLair of the South Plainfield Police Department and Detective Donald Heck of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.
The preliminary investigation has determined that Custidio while driving on New Brunswick Avenue near Carlton Way, lost control of his 2016 BMW motorcycle. The passenger was ejected and suffered catastrophic injuries.
