The campaign rhetoric in last week’s paper by politician Chrissy Buteas and her running mates had me scratching my head.
Buteas says she opposes the Hollywood Avenue extension, yet she voted to fund it while on the council.
Buteas proposes using speed humps to make our side streets safer. Yet she criticized using speed humps when she served on the council and Republicans wanted to install them.
Buteas criticizes borrowing, yet she voted to borrow more in one year while on the council than the current council has in any of the last four years.
These contradictions reinforce what’s becoming more and more apparent: Buteas will say or do anything to climb the political ladder.
