Sai Datta Peetham (SDP) in South Plainfield was founded by Mr. Raghu Sankaramanchi in March, 2014.  The Peetham is founded based on the preachings of Shiridi Sai Baba.  When Saint Sai Baba was alive, his principles were collated in a book "Sai Satcharitra", based on which SDP's main mission is to feed the hungry and to help the needy.  Donating the school supplies to the children is a gesture of our mission to serve the South Plainfield Community.

From day one, SDP started contributing sandwiches, chips, snack bars and boxes of fruits every weekend to the resident homeless shelters in and around the area.  Priest Mr. Raghu Sankaramanchi's mission, through the Peetham, is to follow Sai Baba's words and put them into action to help our community.  Subha Patibandla reached out to Debbie Boyle and Stephanie Wolak, to join in the celebration of charity, for the 4th year,  and they were presented with backpacks and school supplies.
