The South Plainfield Senior Center has started a walking club! Every Friday at 9:00 a.m. the group will meet at the Gazebo at Spring Lake Park. Cathy Scarpitto of ProCare Physical Therepy was present to teach our seniors how to stretch properly before walking.
"It was a fun morning and each senior did what they thought they could do… some did 2 miles, some did 1, some did ½," said Tree Olano Director- Office on Aging. “It is so important for the seniors to keep moving and stay hydrated. I’m trying hard to promote that." New senior water bottles were given to all participants. Tree wanted to let everyone know, all are welcome to join the walking club.
