SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – Senior billiard players throughout Central New Jersey descended on the South Plainfield Senior Center to celebrate another successful year of pool and celebrate the grand reopening of the room. Teams from South Brunswick, Edison, Woodbridge, Elizabeth, Union, Piscataway, Plainfield, South Plainfield and others were on hand for the annual year-end party. One of the highlights of the evening, however, was the unveiling of the newly painted billard room.

South Plainfield High School 2016 graduate Tim Nuber repainted and partially renovated the billard room. “Tim came up with the drawings back in January and he started renovations at the end of March,” said Senior Center Director Tree Olano. “There are 16 Sidepockets that utilize this room every day from 8:00am – 12:00pm. “Tim really listened to what the pool members wanted, he did a terrific job, the room looks fantastic.”

“I wanted to address an actual need in the community when doing my Eagle Scout project,” said Tim Nuber. “The project took about 140 man hours and Mr. Waters was such a huge help. I am just so glad to see all of the billiard players here tonight using the room.”

Robert Twine of the Elizabeth billiards team was on hand to enjoy the night’s events. “I’m just happy to be here and have fun,” said Twine.
