SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – At a March 16 meeting, the South Plainfield Board of Education officially and unanimously approved the appointments of Ronnie Spring as principal of South Plainfield High School and Roger Vroom III as principal of South Plainfield Middle School. Additionally, the board also approved the hiring of Stephen Fried as the district’s assistant business administrator.

“Ron Spring and Roger Vroom have been involved with the school district for a number of years and both work well with the students, teachers and staff. They are both assets to the school district,” said BOE President Debbie Boyle, adding, “Prior to joining the South Plainfield School District, Mr. Fried worked for a very reputable company and we are please to welcome him here.”

In a notice emailed to parents on Thursday, Interim Superintendent of School Dr. Johanna Ruberto said the appointments were a result of a formal three-part district process resulting in one candidate being recommended to the board. “The process commenced with a formal needs assessment by the students, faculty, staff, administrators and parents, a writing sample, and a three-part interview process,” stated Ruberto.
