They are both assets to the school district,” said BOE President Debbie Boyle, adding, “Prior to joining the South Plainfield School District, Mr. Fried worked for a very reputable company and we are please to welcome him here.”

In a notice emailed to parents on Thursday, Interim Superintendent of School Dr. Johanna Ruberto said the appointments were a result of a formal three-part district process resulting in one candidate being recommended to the board. “The process commenced with a formal needs assessment by the students, faculty, staff, administrators and parents, a writing sample, and a three-part interview process,” stated Ruberto.
