NORTH BRUNSWICK, NJ – South Plainfield’s John Boyce soccer the Tigers’ lone goal and Tigers’ goalie Nick Hosein turned away all five North Brunswick Raiders shots to beat the Raiders 1-0. The victory avenges South Plainfield’s 2-0 loss earlier in the season to North Brunswick.

“Boyce finally went to the far post and was able to convert Jacob’s (Villacres) shot,” said South Plainfield head coach Anthony Perfilio. “We out played them tonight, but our shooting was off.”

The Tigers certainly outplayed the Raiders out shooting North Brunswick 15-7. The game was vastly different from an early season matchup between the two teams. North Brunswick dominated an injury plagued Tiger squad 2-0 earlier in the year.

“It was nice to have our injured players back to play this game,” said Perfilio.”
