SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – South Plainfield’s David Rovayo scored twice and Isaiah Storah scored a goal, and assisted on both of Rovayo’s goals, to lead South Plainfield to a 3-2 overtime victory over Sayreville. Rovayo’s game winner occurred with just a few minutes left in the second overtime period.
The underclassmen really stepped up today,” said South Plainfield Head Coach Anthony Perfilio. “We didn’t give up going down one early, and played really well.”
The Tigers did play well, and shook off the early goal and were able to put a halt to their three game slide.
“The boys really listened and did exactly what we told them,” said Perfilio. “Storah was really good today, and we need him at his best.”
