SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – Pouring rain could not damper the South Plainfield Tigers’ offense as South Plainfield scored five goals in a 5-1 lopsided win over JFK Iselin. South Plainfield senior Nick Polizzano had two goals, and teammate Jacob Villacres recorded a goal and two assists to lead the Tigers.

“We played well today,” said South Plainfield Coach Anthony Perfilio. “I’m very happy with the team’s performance, but we just need to keep going.”

South Plainfield offense was going on all cylinders. In addition to Polizzano and Villacres, the Tigers received offensive contributions from Richard Marcovecchio a goal and an assist, Deshai a goal and John Boyce an assist. South Plainfield goalie Nick Plate recorded seven saves to get the win.

The victory improves South Plainfield’s record to 8-3 on the season.
