SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – The South Plainfield Tigers’ Field Hockey Team continued to stay hot downing Middlesex County rival Old Bridge, 6-0. South Plainfield junior Caity Hughes continued her torrid scoring pace notching another hat trick in leading the Tiger offense.

In addition to Caity Hughes’ three goals, South Plainfield got a goal and an assist from Meghan Hughes, a goal from both Nicole Zultowski and Angela Sanchez and assists from Mary McNeil and Stephanie Boettger.

South Plainfield’s best defense was a good offense again, peppering Old Bridge goalie Allison Parret with 18 shots on goal.

South Plainfield goalie Stephanie Bohn recorded her sixth victory of the season turning away both shots on goal. The victory improves South Plainfield’s record to 6-1 on the season.
