SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – The South Plainfield Girls Bowling Team had an action packed weekend advancing in the GMC Tournament on Friday evening and placing second overall in the Team States Central Jersey Group 2 on Saturday.  South Plainfield placed second in the States to Carteret by just 54 pins.  Friday’s GMC victory was against Monroe.  The GMC victory sets up today’s showdown versus Edison.

South Plainfield’s second place finish qualifies the Tigers for the Tournament of Champions.  South Plainfield’s Rebecca Armand rolled the high game of the day with a 256 and finished third overall in the Central Jersey States with a combined 661 pin total.  Armand and teammate Jessica Dandola, who rolled a series 595 and finished 10 overall, both combined for the individual Tournament of Champions on February 10, 2014.
