SOUTH PLAINFIELD - The South Plainfield High School Music Booster Association is hosting its 32nd Annual Marching Band Festival on Saturday, Oct. 12. The USSBA (United States Scholastic Band Association) Competition will begin at 5 p.m. at Frank Jost Memorial Field, behind the PAL Building on Maple Avenue.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens, and can be purchased at the gate. There will be performances by at least eight local high school bands and color guards. The Tiger Marching Band from South Plainfield High School will present the final performance under the direction of Roger A. Vroom III. The evening will end with an awards ceremony.

A wide assortment of food and baked goods will be available for purchase during the festival. Proceeds from the event help provide scholarships to South Plainfield High School seniors.
