Please join the South Plainfield High School Wrestling team on Saturday, February 6th at 5:00 pm as we honor our wrestling alumni and celebrate SPHS Wrestling’s rich history and tradition.  The Tigers will take on the state ranked Jaguars from Jackson Memorial.  Match starts at 5:00 pm and is sure to be a good one.

Since our beginnings in 1962, your Tiger wrestling team has compiled a record of 671 wins, 165 losses and 10 ties.  The program has been under the leadership of five head coaches:  Al Ranger, Tom Baker, Mike Buggey, Bill Pavlak and current head coach Kevin McCann.  During this time, we’ve celebrated 26 Division Championships, 22 Conference Championships, 33 District Titles (31 in a row, the current state record), 12 Section Championships and 8 State Group Team Titles.

All alumni, family and friends of SPHS Wrestling are invited to join us at Flanagan’s after the match for a reception sponsored by the South Plainfield Wrestling Club – adults only please cash bar.  We look forward to seeing everyone ….Go Tigers!
