SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – South Plainfield police announced the arrest of Douglas Baudriz-Diaz in the burglary of a Palmer Avenue residents. According to police, a quick thinking resident called police after allegedly observing Baudriz-Diaz’ climb through a garage window at 2:15am on May 22, 2017. South Plainfield Patrol units arrived on scene and were able to enter the locked garage. K-9 Officer Michael Grasso deployed his K-9 Partner, Kaiser who found the suspect hiding under furniture.

Baudriz-Diaz was arrested and charged with burglary and possession of burglary tools. He is currently being detained in the Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center on an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainer warrant.
