SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - The South Plainfield Knights of Columbus, Council #6203 held their annual Fall Trivia Night Fundraiser at the South Plainfield Senior Center on November 22nd. Over 80 people attended this fundraiser and over $1,500 was raised and all proceeds will be donated to the Middlesex County Make A Wish Foundation.
Nine Teams were asked 10 questions from 10 categories and whichever team answers the most questions correctly, that team wins. The “Renegades” won their 2nd trivia night title with 57 points, coming in second place was “There’s an App for That” with 53 points and in third place came “William H Macy” with 51 points. The Defending trivia champs Big Joe and The Mamma’s came in 4th place with 47 points.
Renegades team members include Bryon Gehman, John Schaffer, Tom Gilleece, Theresa Gilleece, Candy Longo, Bob Longo (Captain), Philip Longo and Jaime Parello
The following Knights helped out: Judges were Billy Butrico and Tom Pollock. A VERY BIG Thank You goes out fellow Knight Charlie Butrico who wrote all the questions and was also Master of Ceremonies. The Knights also would like to thank Mayor Matt Anesh for donating proceeds from weddings he performs to pay for the Senior Center Hall Rental fee.
This event has become very popular; please look for the next time it is held. It is a great time and a great fundraiser, in the past 8 years the Knights have donated over $17,000 Dollars to the Make A Wish Foundation.

McGivney founded the Knights of Columbus as a fraternal benefit society at a time in the United States when Catholic immigrants were being forced to renounce their Faith in order to earn a livelihood for their families. Our mission as Knights of Columbus, is to keep Father McGivney's dream alive, to actively seek out Catholic men and invite them to be a part of our community of Christian family life through participation in our social and fraternal programs of service to our Church, community, and youth.
