SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – The South Plainfield Police Department is investigating a string of home burglaries that took place on Tompkins Avenue, Geary Drive and Orchard Drive.  The burglaries occurred on Thursday October 15th between the times of 7:00 am and 9:00 pm. None of the residents were home during the time of the burglaries.

“It appears that the actor(s) entered each home from the rear of the residence,” said South Plainfield Police Chief James Parker. “Jewelry along with electronic equipment was reported missing from the home owners.”

According to the South Plainfield Police the investigation into the burglaries is active and on-going. The Police Department urges residents to keep doors and windows locked at all times.  If anyone has any information regarding this string of burglaries, please contact Sgt.
