SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – The South Plainfield Police Department is investigating a home burglary that took place approximately 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28. Officials say it could be related to a similar burlary that took place in Old Bridge last week.

According to officials, two assailants gained entry through an unlocked door and entered the home. The residents were home at the time, but officials have not released any other information.

“It is very early in the investigation,” South Plainfield Police Chief James Parker said. “The investigation is ongoing, and my office as well as the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office will release information on this incident when it is available.”

According to officials, the robberies are very similar to those that took place last week in Old Bridge.
