SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - Election Day and Veterans Day will not affect the curbside recycling schedule. However, the Thanksgiving Day holiday will postpone curbside recycling collection in Thursday Section 4.  Section 4 recyclables will be picked up on Saturday, November 26 instead of on Thanksgiving Day.  Friday Section 5 collection will be done on Friday, November 25.

The South Plainfield Recycling Complex on Kenneth Avenue will be closed on Tuesday, November 8 for Election Day and on Friday, November 11 for Veterans Day. The Recycling Center and the Yard Waste Site will be open 8 a.m.–3 p.m. on Wednesday, November 9 and Saturday, November 12.   The Recycling Complex will be closed on November 24 and 25 for Thanksgiving. It will be open instead from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.  on Wednesday, November 23.

Regular hours at the Recycling Center are 12 to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.  The Yard Waste Site is on its Leaf Season schedule.  Yard Waste is open 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Saturday and until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, except for the holiday closings.  Both sites will be open as usual on Saturday, November 26.
