SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - Veterans Day will not affect the curbside recycling schedule. However, the Thanksgiving Day holiday will postpone curbside recycling collection in the Thursday section.  Thursday section recyclables will be picked up on Saturday, November 25 instead of on Thanksgiving Day.  Friday section collection will be done on Friday, November 24.

The South Plainfield Recycling Complex on Kenneth Avenue will be closed on Friday, November 10 for Veterans Day. The Recycling Center will be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, November 9 and Saturday, November 11. Yard Waste will also be open until 4 p.m. on Saturday.  The Recycling Complex will be closed on November 23 and 24 for Thanksgiving. It will be open instead from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, November 22.

Regular hours at the Recycling Center are 12 to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.  The Yard Waste Site is on its Leaf Season schedule.  Yard Waste is open 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday, until 4 p.m. on Saturday and until 6 p.m. on Tuesday, except for the holiday closings.  Both sites will be open as usual on Saturday, November 26.
