SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - South Plainfield parents received notification this evening (Wednesday) informing them that schools will be canceled on Thursday, March 8th due to the snow storm. According to the district's Facebook page "All clubs, activities, sporting events, practices, and Latchkey are cancelled. Please check the district website and Facebook page for weather updates."
"Chief Parker and I have declared a State of Emergency for the Borough of South Plainfield. Downed wires and fallen trees have created extremely dangerous travel conditions throughout central New Jersey," said Mayor Anesh. "Resident are urged to stay off the roads."
