SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - The South Plainfield Clean Communities Advisory Board will sponsor a limited public lands cleanup on Saturday, September 17. The Highland Woods Nature Reserve and surrounding roadsides are this fall’s target.
If enough people come, they will be able to cover all of South Clinton Avenue and its side streets as well.
The cleanup will run from 10 – 12 noon. Gloves, trash bags, safety vests and other equipment will be provided. Volunteers can collect supplies at the Nature Center parking lot at 115 Sylvania Place (off of South Clinton Ave) from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Long pants, closed shoes, long sleeves and insect repellent are recommended for working in brushy areas.
Come and help even if you can spare only a half-hour. Every volunteer’s efforts make a difference.
