South Plainfield, NJ – On Wednesday, January 4, members of the South Plainfield Senior Center brought in 2017 with great fanfare. Led by the inimitable DJ Mel of Be Our Guest Entertainment, the crowd counted down to the big moment and toasted the new year with a delicious “mocktail.” The seniors danced the afternoon away as the celebrated another year of friendship and fun together.

A delicious lunch, prepared by perennial favorite, Elmer's, was served. The guests enjoyed a menu of roast pork, sausage and peppers, chicken, pasta, salad, dinner rolls, and ice cream sundaes for a frosty treat.

A 50-50 was held to round out a riotous and active afternoon. The party ended with the traditional and heartfelt singing of “God Bless America,” as the seniors finish each major event at the Center.
