I am writing to express my appreciation and gratitude to all of those who had a role in designing, building and decorating the 2015 South Plainfield Soccer Association Labor Day Parade Float. I would like to specifically thank Michele Raber, Kelly Sella and David Lienhard for their leadership throughout the process. In addition I must thank the South Plainfield Historical Society, Cornerstone Architecture and Home Depot for their contributions to the project. Thanks to these special people and the numerous volunteers that came out to put it all together the soccer association was able to have their float. I am extremely grateful and was very proud of all involved. The float was able to be a reality due to a group of people who two weeks prior had no idea they would be involved in this project. However when push came to shove they came together to create a float. Not just any float but a prize winning one, Most Outstanding Float award at the 58th Annual Labor Day Parade.
Ironically this was no surprise to me. It was one small representation of the many amazing acts of service that occur in our community every day. Everyday people and organizations in our community come together with a focus on bringing value to our community. This is what we stand for, this is who we are, and this is what we do.
So thank you parade Judges and again congratulations to everyone on a job well done.
