SOUTH RIVER, NJ – South Plainfield’s Marc Giordano and Adrian Dominguez scored two goals apiece, and the Tigers’ defense bottled up South Rivers’ offense as South Plainfield shutout South River 6-0.

The victory improves South Plainfield’s record to 5-1-1 on the season while South River falls to 1-8.

South Plainfield goalies Bryan Cruz and Anthony Frascino combined for 10 saves in securing the shutout win.

“We played well today,” said South Plainfield coach Anthony Perfilio. “We’ve been playing some new formations and putting some players into new spots and so far it’s been working.”

Perfilio is right. These formations have been working. South Plainfield is 5-0-1 since its opening day loss to undefeated South Brunswick.
